My study of American culture shows itself in my subjects, which portray images of individuals performing actions and scenes, either imaginary or real that reflect the new changes to our society both mentally and physically.

Performance
3 min 52 sec
Rock, is a 20 x20 foot installation of rocks in a corner. I created an installation of an environment with paint, rocks, flour and chalk. I used the chalk to mark the areas of black paint and on the rocks with hundreds of 'tally marks’. For the performance, I entered my installation; my body painted, and picked up a rock. I held the rock for as long as I could (3 min 37 sec) then dropped the rock on the ground where it broke. I then picked up a piece of chalk and make another 'tally mark' on a near by rock. The performance was then over. I left the residue of my performance in the gallery for the remainder of the show; the broken rock with red paint on it from my hands and footprints in the flour.

Video
‘Lay,’ is a still from an animation including both 2D animation and performance art. In this shot, I am wearing a silicone prosthetic mask in an installation. I am investigating collapsing the space by blurring painting and sculpture via the lens of a camera.
